Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join a Specialty Pharmacy team supporting patients with complex conditions such as HIV, Hep-C, Oncology, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. This role focuses on patient care, medication management, and ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions.
Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and drug interactions
- Review patient profiles and medication history
- Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
- Coordinate with physicians for clarifications and interventions
- Perform final quality check before medication dispensing
- Handle customer service issues involving patients, providers, and vendors
- Support clinical programs and pharmacy operations
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Requirements (Must Have):
- Active TN Pharmacist License (in good standing)
- Pharmacy Degree (PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Experience with patient interaction or call center environment
Experience:
- 1+ year pharmacist experience preferred
Education:
- Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
