🧠 Travel Registered Nurse – MS/Tele (Neuro Unit)

📍 Winston-Salem, NC

Join a highly specialized Neuroscience MS/Tele unit and gain hands-on experience caring for stroke and neuro patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity for experienced nurses looking to expand their neuro and telemetry expertise.

🏥 Position Overview

Specialty: MS/Tele (Neuroscience Unit)
Shift: Day Shift – 4x12s (06:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Location: Winston-Salem, NC

🩺 Unit Highlights

Primary focus: Stroke & Neuroscience patients
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Daily Census: ~50 patients
Exposure to:
- Stroke, seizures, brain tumors
- Subdural hematomas, SAH, ICH
- Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
Collaborative support team including IV team, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response

💼 Key Responsibilities

Provide care for neuro and med-surg patients on a telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
Manage IV therapies and non-titrated drips
Deliver patient-centered care with strong neuro assessment skills
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes

✅ Required Qualifications (HARD STOPS)

Minimum 2 years RN experience
At least 1 year of Med-Surg experience REQUIRED
Travel experience required (minimum 2 completed contracts)
Telemetry & dysrhythmia interpretation required
Certifications:
- BLS from AHA (required)
- NIHSS (required)
- ACLS (preferred)

⚠️ Important Requirements

First-time travelers will NOT be considered
Must pass EKG testing prior to start
Floating required to other MS/Tele units (including COVID units if needed)
Every other weekend required
RTO must be submitted upfront (no changes after booking)
