Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Unit: Emergency Room
Location: Americus, GA, 31719
Shift: Evening Shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM)
Shift Length: 12 hours
weekly  Hours: 36 hours per week
Duration: 17 weeks

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced acute care emergency department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of ER experience along with at least one prior travel assignment. This role involves providing rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients across a wide range of emergency conditions while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and stabilization of emergency patients.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with ER protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to critical situations promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using MEDITECH.

Skills:

• Strong emergency and critical care nursing skills
• Ability to manage high patient volumes in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with trauma and fast-track emergency care
• Proficiency in MEDITECH or similar EHR systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Valid RN  state License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) required
• NIHSS Certification
• TNCC Certification (Preferred)

• Orientation: 16 hours
• Unit Details: 12 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Local Radius Rule: 75-mile restriction applies
