Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab | Contract
Location: Concord, North Carolina
Facility: Atrium Health Cabarrus
Job Type: Contract
Duration: June 1 – August 29, 2026 (~13 weeks)
Schedule: 40 hours/week | 10-hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Position Overview
Advocate Health Southeast is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity, fast-paced cardiac and vascular lab. This role is ideal for nurses with strong procedural experience who can independently circulate and monitor complex cases.

Unit Details
- 2 Cath Labs, 1 Vascular Lab, 1 EP Lab
- 12 prep/recovery beds
- Blended lab environment (Cath + Vascular + EP)
Patient Population & Procedures
- STEMI, cardiac catheterizations, PCI
- Atrial fibrillation ablations
- Device placements
- Vascular procedures: angiograms, DVT/PE interventions, thrombolytics, EVAR, TAVR
- Right & left heart caths, pericardiocentesis
Responsibilities
- Circulate and monitor during procedures
- Assist with cardiac and vascular interventions
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
- Administer and titrate medications (including pressors)
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety
- Document care using EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 year of Cath Lab experience
- Active RN license
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
Required Skills
- Experience in Cath Lab and/or Vascular procedures
- Strong IV skills and sterile technique
- Ability to function independently in procedures
- Experience with EPIC EMR
Technology & Equipment
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitoring: Philips
- Imaging Systems: Siemens, Merge Hemo
Scheduling & Requirements
- 10-hour day shifts (starting at 7:00 AM)
- Call required (response time: 30 min for STEMI / 1 hr for vascular)
- Weekend rotation based on department needs
- Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
- No floating required
