Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Adult | Night Shift Contract
Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Facility: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
Job Type: Contract (Incentive Night)
Schedule: 36 hours/week | 12-hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Position Overview
Advocate Health Southeast is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a high-acuity, Level 1 Trauma academic medical center. This role involves providing respiratory care across ICU and medical/surgical units, supporting a wide range of critical and complex patient populations.

- 885-bed academic medical center
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Teaching hospital
- Chest Pain Center
- Stroke Center
Patient Population
- ICU and Med/Surg patients
- Post-surgical cases
- Respiratory conditions including:
- COPD
- Asthma
- Pneumonia
- Emergency Department patients
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy care across assigned units (ICU/Med-Surg)
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies
- Monitor patient response and adjust care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Document care using EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience
- Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapist license
- First-time travelers considered
Required Certifications
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- BLS
- ACLS
