Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Labor and Delivery)
Location: Sylva, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Overview
- Acute care hospital with 86 beds
- Labor and Delivery unit located on 3rd floor
- Unit beds: 5
- Patient population: Adult and neonate
- Patient ratios: 1:2 or 1:1
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
- Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: rotated
- No call requirements
- No float requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in OB/GYN
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Job Responsibilities & Skills
- Provide care for pregnant patients during labor and delivery
- Monitor fetal heart rate and interpret tracings
- Administer labor medications and assist with cervical exams
- Work collaboratively as a team player with a friendly attitude
Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed
- No specific unacceptable attire noted
- Orientation schedule available throughout the year
