Description
Position Requirements – Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
- Active ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Strong experience with C-arm and fluoroscopy equipment
- Ability to scrub in and assist physicians during IR procedures
- Willingness to take on-call shifts (weeknights, weekends, and holidays)
- Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes when on-call
Technical Skills Required:
- Performing image-guided interventional procedures
- Operating fluoroscopy and radiologic equipment
- Assisting physicians and clinical team during procedures
- Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows
- Patient care before, during, and after IR procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) Certification
- Cardiovascular Interventional (CI) Certification
- Experience working in a hospital-based IR department
Work & Schedule Requirements:
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
- On-Call:
- 1 weeknight per week (3:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 1 weekend in 3 rotation (Fri 3:30 PM – Tues 7:00 AM)
- 1 holiday rotation
- No guaranteed hours (OT after 40 hours)
Additional Requirements:
- EMR: Cerner experience preferred
- Scrubs: Hospital-provided (Navy)
