Registered Nurse (Emergency Room)

Location: Clear Lake, CA 

Schedule & Hours

• Shift: Night Shift
• Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Floating: Possible (ER/ICU experience preferred)

Requirements (HARD STOPS)

• Active RN license
• Minimum 3 years ER experience
• Recent ER experience required (must have worked ER within the last 3 months)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS – Required
• Comfortable floating as needed

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across all acuity levels
• Perform rapid triage and focused assessments
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and neurological conditions
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments per protocol
• Monitor patients continuously and recognize clinical deterioration
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary emergency teams
• Respond to codes, trauma activations, and rapid response events
• Support ICU‑level patients when floating as needed
• Prepare patients for diagnostics, procedures, admission, or discharge
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards
• Maintain a safe and organized ER environment during high‑volume shifts
