Job Title: Med-Surg RN (Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit – Travel)
Shift: Nights or Rotating (Days/Nights)
Shift Timing: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (or rotating schedule)


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit (CVSD). This role involves caring for cardiac and post-operative patients in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong clinical judgment and experience with cardiac monitoring and interventions.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cardiac patients in a stepdown setting
• Monitor and titrate IV drips per physician orders
• Provide care for post-operative cardiac and thoracic patients
• Work with chest tubes and epicardial pacing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with epicardial pacing and chest tubes (required)
• Strong cardiac care and telemetry experience
• Ability to titrate drips independently
  
  
  Scheduling & Requirements:
• Self-scheduling via unit committee
• Block scheduling available (based on staffing needs)
• Rotating shifts: 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights (if applicable)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• No call or standby requirement
• Floating: Required (float first)
