Job Title: EEG Technologist (Neurology)
Location: Oak Lawn, IL
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Details: 8hr Day Shift (40 hours/week) – Day shifts | Every weekend required | No call | Holidays as per schedule
Job Summary
The EEG Technologist performs electroencephalogram studies to evaluate brain activity in patients across all age groups. Responsibilities include patient preparation, electrode placement, monitoring, recording, and assisting with interpretation in inpatient, outpatient, and ICU settings.

Department Overview
- Outpatient beds: 2 | Inpatient beds: 2
- Floating required to ICU for testing
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EEG procedures for neonates through geriatric patients
- Prepare patients and apply electrodes accurately
- Monitor and record brain wave activity
- Identify and document abnormal patterns
- Maintain patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
- Document procedures in EMR
Patient Population & Conditions
- Neonates to geriatric patients
- Conditions include seizures, stroke, trauma, gunshot injuries, autism, ADHD, and pseudo-seizures
Patient Ratio
- 1:1
Required Qualifications
- BLS Certification – Required
- EEG Certification – Required (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of EEG experience
Skills Required
- Neonatal EEG experience
- Electrode placement and patient preparation
- EEG recording and measurement
- Pattern recognition
- Continuous EEG setup and head wrapping
