Description
MRI Tech - Radiology
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit and Facility Overview
- Work primarily at a Level I Trauma Center and Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
- Facility includes a dedicated MRI unit with 6 beds and uses Siemens Espree and GE Artist (1.5T) MRI machines.
- Documentation systems: Epic and Change Healthcare PACS.
- Floating policy: Primarily stationed at main campus MRI unit; may perform MR scans at the adjacent Children’s Hospital as needed.
- Teaching facility with radiologists and radiology residents on site 24/7.
- Recognized center of excellence for stroke services, bariatric surgery, cancer care, breast imaging, heart and vascular care, joint replacement, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spine surgery, trauma care, and women’s health.
- Location offers a beautiful coastal environment with great weather and a rich historic district.
Job Responsibilities and Procedures
- Perform MRI procedures including trauma, stroke/perfusion, cardiac MR, breast, neuro, body, musculoskeletal (MSK), and angiography imaging across all age groups.
- Maintain adherence to unit policies and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Schedule and Dress Code
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week.
- Required uniform: Gray and black scrubs.
