Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Per Diem
Job Type: Per Diem (PRN)
Assignment Duration: June 1, 2026 – August 24, 2026
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide per diem coverage during the specified assignment period. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care in accordance with facility standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide therapy services to improve communication and swallowing functions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home care strategies
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Current BLS certification (if required by facility)
- Prior clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or similar setting preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a per diem capacity
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards
Compliance Requirements
- Valid professional license
- Updated certifications (BLS, CCC if applicable)
- Background check and drug screening (as per facility policy)
- Immunization records and health clearance
