We’re hiring an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for an exciting travel opportunity in Hobbs, New Mexico! Join a supportive surgical team and gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of cases.

📍 Location

Hobbs, NM – Work at a well-equipped acute care facility with a collaborative clinical environment.

🩺 Position Details

• Role: RN – Operating Room
• Start Date: 06/01/2026
• Duration: 8 Weeks
• Openings: 1 Position
• Shift: Day Shift (5x8s) – 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM
• Call:
  • 1–2 days/week (Mon–Fri: 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
  • 1–2 weekends/month 

🏥 Facility Highlights

• Short-Term Acute Care Facility (61 beds)
• 1:1 Patient Ratio in OR
• 5 Operating Rooms | Daily Census: 5–6 cases
• Charting System: Epic
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team 

🔧 Surgical Experience Required

• General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Podiatry, Endoscopy, C-Sections
• Trauma exposure including amputations and emergency cases
• Experience with procedures such as:
  • Joint replacements, arthroscopy, fracture repairs
  • Laparoscopic procedures, appendectomy, hernia repair
  • Cystoscopy, PEG tube procedures 

🛠️ Core Skills

• Sterile technique & infection control
• Conscious sedation monitoring
• Cardiac monitoring & IV starts
• Specimen handling & documentation
• Emergency response (code, malignant hyperthermia, fire safety)
• Familiarity with electrosurgical units, Steris, Hana table 

✅ Requirements

• Active RN License (State or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Travel experience required
• BLS & ACLS from AHA – Required
• PALS – Preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR
