Facility: CMC Main – Operating Room
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours: 36 hours/week

💼 Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma facility. This role requires strong clinical expertise in complex surgical cases and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment.

🏥 Facility Highlights

• 900+ bed Level 1 Trauma Center
• Level 1 Pediatric Trauma (Levine Children’s Hospital)
• Teaching Hospital & Magnet Designation
• 32 Operating Rooms + 1 Procedure Room
• 70–100 surgical cases daily

✅ Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years OR RN experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center (Level III not accepted)
• BLS Certification
• Strong circulating experience
• Comfortable handling trauma cases (MVA, GSW, blunt force, neuro, etc.)
• No first-time travelers

🔧 Skills & Experience

• Experience with:
  • General, ortho trauma, neuro, spine, and transplant surgeries
  • Robotics (DaVinci XI) (nights may finish ongoing cases only)
  • Complex procedures: craniotomies, ex-laps, reconstructive surgeries
• Ability to work in high-acuity trauma situations
• Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable

📋 Schedule & Call

• Night shift: 1900–0700
• No call required for nights (optional call available)
• Weekend call: 1 shift every 6–8 weeks (if applicable)
• Holiday requirement: 50% of contract
• Modified self-scheduling (manager-approved)

• Charge RN (24/7)
• Clinical Supervisors
• OR Assistants
• Anesthesia/CRNA team
• Materials & SPD team

• EMR: EPIC (preferred)
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication System: Omnicell
