Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) – PRN (Weekend Coverage):

 

Location: 100 S Bliss Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74464
Facility: W. W. Hastings Hospital
Schedule: PRN – Saturdays & Sundays | 10-hour day shifts
Setting: Inpatient | All Age Groups

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide weekend PRN coverage in an inpatient setting. The OT will evaluate and treat patients across all age groups, focusing on improving functional independence, activities of daily living (ADLs), and overall quality of life.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in an inpatient setting
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, coordination, and independence
  • Treat a diverse patient population including medical-surgical, neurological, orthopedic, and post-operative cases
  • Recommend and train patients on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home programs, and safety techniques
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and facility policies

Patient Population:

  • All ages: Pediatric, adult, and geriatric
  • Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation and acute care
  • Conditions include: Stroke, neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, and functional impairments

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Oklahoma (or eligible)
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a PRN role

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • NBCOT Certification (OTR) preferred
