Job Summary

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and ensure patient rights and privacy are protected.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards including ANA Code for Nurses, State of Michigan Public Health code, and regulatory agency requirements.

Patient Population & Environment

• Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric.
• Unit has 10 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
• EMR system used: Paragon.
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs.

Shift Details

• Day shift.
• 12 hours per day.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
• ENPC certification accepted in place of PALS.

Additional Information

• Emergency Department provides 24/7 coverage for minor to severe injuries and illnesses.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
