ER Travel RN – Level II Trauma Center | High Acuity | Fast-Paced

Facility Overview

• Level II Trauma Center
• 54-bed Emergency Department
• ~220 patient visits per day
• Fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Ratios: 1:4 (Days/Nights/Weekends)

Requirements

• Experience:
  • 2+ years ER experience
  • 1+ year recent travel experience (Required)
• Certifications:
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (OK to submit pending)
  • NIHSS required
• Charting: Epic (Required)
• Vaccines:
  • COVID-19: Required (No exemptions)
  • Flu: Required (No exemptions)
  • 2-Step PPD required

Key Skills Required

• Triage & high-acuity ER care
• Ventilator & BiPAP/CPAP management
• IV sedation & vasopressors
• Blood product administration
• Central line care
• Dysrhythmia & ABG interpretation
• Stroke & STEMI care
• Trauma (GSW, ortho trauma, critical emergencies)

Patient Population

• All age groups: Neonates → Geriatrics

Scheduling & Expectations

• Weekend requirement: ~6 shifts per contract
• Must be open to holidays
• Floating required as per facility policy
• Orientation: ~20 hours
• Modules: 4–8 hours (non-billable, completed during orientation)

Important Notes

• No local candidates (within 50 miles)
• Local rate applies if exception approved ($5 less)
• RTO must be disclosed at submission
• Travelers must take a 90-day break after 1 year
• Former employees must be separated for 1 year
