🏥 Job Summary – Unit Nurse Manager (Cath Lab & ICU)

📍 Role: Unit Nurse Manager – Cath Lab & ICU
🕒 Weekly Hours:

• 40 hours/week (Full-time)
• Core Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• On-Call: Required (24/7 coverage, including weekends & holidays)

📌 Key Requirements

• Experience:
  • 3+ years RN experience
  • 1+ year management experience
  • 1+ year clinical leadership experience
• Certifications (Preferred): ACLS, BLS, RCIS, NIHSS, TNCC, CRRT
  (Note: Strong candidates without all certs will still be considered)
• Other: Must be within 60-mile radius (DL required)

🏥 Unit Overview

Cath Lab:

• 1 Lab Room | 3 Pre/Post Bays
• Cases: Cardiac, Vascular, EP, IR

ICU:

• 8 Beds
• Patient Types: Cardiac, Respiratory, Sepsis, DKA, STEMI/NSTEMI, COPD, CKD

⚕️ Ratios

• Cath Lab: 3–4 staff per case (RN/Tech)
• ICU: 1:2 (can go up to 1:3 based on acuity)

💊 Clinical Responsibilities

• Oversee both Cath Lab & ICU operations
• Pre/Post procedure care + bedside procedural support
• Moderate sedation management
• Titration of drips required
• Leadership focus on team development & culture building

💉 Common Drips

• Cath Lab: Vasoactive meds, Heparin, IIb/IIIa, Blood products
• ICU: Levophed, Vasopressin, Epi, Nitro, Amio, Propofol, Fentanyl, Insulin, etc.

🛠️ Equipment

• Cath Lab: Oxygen, End-tidal CO2, vents
• ICU: Ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, High-flow

📅 Scheduling & Expectations

• ✔️ Self-scheduling available
• ✔️ Weekend & holiday on-call required
• ✔️ Floating required (except charge nurse preferred not to)
• ✔️ Charge nurse may take assignments if needed
