Description

Job Description – Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Facility Overview

This position is within a Level I Trauma Center providing 24/7 poly trauma response. The OR supports a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment with multiple specialty service lines.

Special Unit – 2 West (Outpatient Surgery Center)

Designed as a day surgery center within the hospital
Smaller OR rooms with ambulatory-focused workflow
Handles fast-paced cases with quick turnover
Typical specialties:
- ENT (2 rooms daily)
- Ophthalmology (2 rooms daily)
- Orthopedics (sports medicine, shoulders, knees, hips, revisions, podiatry, hands)
- GYN (laparoscopic and open)
- Urology
Average volume: 80–120 cases per day
Scrubs provided for OR staff

Experience Required
Strong ambulatory OR experience preferred, especially for 2 West assignment
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-turnover surgical environment

Days Call is required. We work (4) 10s to provide the best block coverage.
