Travel Pharmacist – Hospital Setting
Hyannis, MA 02601
GHR Healthcare is seeking a Travel Pharmacist for a hospital assignment in Hyannis, MA. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with a strong focus on medication safety, order verification, and IV compounding.
Position Details
- Weekly Pay: $3,827
- Schedule: 40 hours/week
- Shift: Primarily 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM, occasional 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required
- Contract Length: 180 days
- Start Date: 05/18/2026
- Setting: Hospital Pharmacy
- Guaranteed Hours: 40
Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications in accordance with federal, state, and hospital regulations
- Review medication orders for accuracy including dosage, compatibility, and scheduling
- Compound pharmaceuticals including IV admixtures and TPN
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and record maintenance of medications
- Provide drug information and clinical support to medical and nursing staff
- Oversee and delegate tasks to pharmacy support personnel
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and safety standards
- Support medication order entry and clinical services for affiliated facilities during night shift
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of IV compounding and clinical pharmacy practices
