Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ER
Location: Toppenish, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
Required Certifications
- Current Washington RN license (or compact license with additional state requirements)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – preferred at start, required by 6 months
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Background checks including 10-year criminal history, SSN trace, education verification, and state-specific searches
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel, no instant tests accepted)
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Negative TB test (QGold or T-SPOT within 30 days) or chest X-ray if positive
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines or declination)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine, or declination)
- Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, history of chickenpox, or declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (required by November 1; mask required if declined)
- Physical exam with physician’s statement within 1 year of start
- Fit testing for N95 mask onsite (required annually; no PAPR testing)
- Photo for badge (headshot on plain white background)
- Completion of facility-specific onboarding and confidentiality agreements prior to start
- Must provide 3 recent employment references
- Employment application including all states lived/worked in for background check
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
- Behavioral health certifications (CPI, ProAct) are not required for this ER role
- Candidates cannot update certifications onsite; all certifications must be current before start
- Fit testing and orientation details will be provided onsite after reporting
- Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search required within 30 days of start
