Position Overview

The Chenega Pharmacist II will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care services within the Northern Cheyenne Service Unit under the Emergency Staffing Service program. The role involves ensuring safe medication use, supporting clinical teams, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and clinical guidelines
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient care
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational pharmacy regulations
• Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend adjustments as needed
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation of pharmaceuticals
• Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the U.S.
• Minimum of 2+ years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
