Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 11 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Total Hours per Week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year
Onboarding & Compliance
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; video content must be watched before testing)
- Annual safety manual acknowledgement required
- Fit mask test (3M 1860 small/regular or 1870+) within 12 months and updated annually (not required for Histology Techs or Pathology Assistants)
- Fingerprinting must be completed under code 4723.09 (Nursing); X-Ray and MRI Techs may start with fingerprint results pending if completed, but all other Radiology/Cardiology specialties require results before start
- Badge photo required prior to start for clearance
- TB questionnaire required annually if history of positive TB test
Additional Notes
- Candidates with latex allergies must notify the facility to ensure availability of latex-free gloves
- Travelers returning to the facility after a break of more than 6 months must complete onboarding modules again
- Traveler’s legal name must be used consistently in all documentation systems
- Modules will be assigned approximately 2 weeks prior to start date; completion is mandatory before clearance to begin assignment

- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting relevant to the specialty (Radiology/Cardiology)
