Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in Interventional Radiology with 6 labs/suites including pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas.
• Average 20-30 cases per day involving patients with GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, and vascular conditions.
• Shift schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts between 06:30 and 18:00 (40 hours/week).
• Call requirement: Primary and secondary call 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends and holidays. Call response time is 30 minutes.
• Orientation: 5 days unit/department-specific plus 12 non-billable orientation hours.
• Patient ratios: 1:1 intraprocedural, up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery.

Required Certifications & Skills

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application initiation.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• EKG interpretation skills required.
• Experience with drip titration required.

Work Environment & Equipment

• EMR system: EPIC.
• Monitoring equipment: Phillips monitors.
• Surgical scrubs provided.
• Charge RN available 07:30-17:00 for case coverage and breaks.
• No floating required.

• Drug-free workplace: negative drug screen required for all panels.
• Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty.
• No self-scheduling.
• Support staff includes 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT).
