Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (Full-Time)

Shift Details:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Occasional late patient coverage on a rotating basis (not daily)
• Last patient scheduled at 5:00 PM; shift may extend up to 6:30 PM at the latest
• No on-call requirements
• No weekends

Requirements:

• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
• KSBHA license (required)
• NBCOT certification (preferred)
• BLS certification (must obtain within first 90 days if not already held)
• Epic experience (preferred, not required)
• Must be comfortable working in an acute care hospital setting

Patient Load & Caseload:

• Expected: 7–8 patients per 8-hour shift (full productivity)
• Gradual ramp-up to full productivity
• Patient types include:
  • General Medicine
  • Neurology
  • Orthopedics
  • Cardiac
  • Respiratory
  • Trauma
  • Surgical
  • ICU
  • Joint Replacement
  • ED patients (less frequent)

Daily Responsibilities:

• Review charts and plan daily schedule
• Conduct patient evaluations and treatments until approximately midday
• Attend team huddle at 12:45 PM
• Take a 30-minute lunch break
• Continue patient care in the afternoon
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists (PTs) during initial orientation and workflow integration
• Handle patients with complex medical conditions, including those with lines, drains, and acute diagnoses
