Description
Pre-op / PACU Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract
Location: Newport, Vermont
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week)
Call Requirement: Yes, taking call is required
Job Description
- Position involves working in Pre-op and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings.
- Located in a rural area with limited public transportation; personal vehicle is necessary.
- The community offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling.
- Support provided for transition into the community and role.
- Attendance at department quarterly education sessions is required for agency professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Vermont
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience
- Pre-Op experience
- Perioperative experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification

- The facility is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.
