Description

ob Title: Stepdown Intermediate Care Nurse (RN)

Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed stepdown intermediate care unit
Monitor patients with moderate to high acuity, including cardiac and post-critical care cases
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
Continuously assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Accurately document patient information using Cerner PowerChart
Float to other units as required, based on competency

Schedule & Work Requirements
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 shifts per week)
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday requirement: Every other holiday
On-call: Required as needed
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of stepdown, intermediate care, or related acute care experience
Certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
First-time travelers accepted
