Title:
Med Surg/Telemetry RN – Nights | First-Time Travelers OK | Acute Medical Unit

Job Description:
We are seeking a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a travel assignment at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL (near St. Louis, MO). This role is in an Acute Medical Unit caring for adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring.

Shift Details:

Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12)
36 hours/week
Weekdays + weekends required

Unit Details:

24-bed Acute Medical Unit
Avg. census: 16–18 patients
Patient ratio (nights): 1:5
Patient population: Adult & Geriatric

Responsibilities:

Care for med/surg + telemetry patients
Perform EKG rhythm interpretation
Manage non-titrating cardiac drips (weaning allowed)
Provide pre/post-procedure care
Perform neuro assessments (stroke/TIA patients)
Float within service line as needed

Requirements:

Active Illinois RN License (REQUIRED at submission)
Minimum 1 year MS/Tele experience
First-time travelers accepted
Certifications required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Epic experience preferred
