Nurse Manager – Occupational Health (Wellness Center)

Nurse Manager – Occupational Health / Wellness Center

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite)
Client: U.S. Department of the Interior
Contract: 1 Year + 4 Option Years

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Occasional after-hours events (e.g., July 4th, federal events)

Compensation: Pay Rate: $74/hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee operations of a federal Wellness Center supporting employee health, safety, and readiness. This role combines clinical care, leadership, compliance, and program management in an occupational health setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day Wellness Center operations
Provide ambulatory and emergency nursing care
Lead wellness initiatives (flu clinics, screenings, health programs)
Oversee AED program (31 units) and CPR training
Ensure compliance with federal health, safety, and reporting standards
Maintain confidential employee health records (HIPAA compliant)
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and clinic coverage
Prepare monthly, semiannual, and annual reports
Support high-level federal events with medical coverage

Required Qualifications

BSN from accredited program
Active RN license DC or Compact State - NLC license.
4+ years clinical nursing experience
2+ years leadership/supervisory experience
Experience in occupational health or ambulatory care (preferred)
Current BLS certification

Preferred Skills

Clinic or wellness center management
Federal or corporate health experience
Strong administrative and reporting skills
