Description

✅ Must-Have Requirements (Hard Filters)

Valid Illinois (IL) RN license in hand
EPIC charting experience
Clinical prescreen required (no second interview; hiring decision within 24 hours if recommended)
BLS certification
Med-Tele RN experience required

🏥 Unit Overview (Med Tele RN)

Beds: 31
Nurse:Patient ratio: 1:5–6
Common diagnoses:
- CHF, stroke, chest pain
- Diabetes, pneumonia, COPD
- Detox patients
- Cardiac conditions
- Cath lab recoveries

💉 Skills / Clinical Expectations

Experience with:
- Radial band & femoral cath recoveries
No routine drip titration required
Common drips:
- Lasix, heparin, bumex, protonix, octreotide

🧠 Monitoring / Support

RNs read telemetry
Centralized tele tech support available

👥 Staffing

Charge RN:
- Day shift: team lead (no patients)
- Nights/weekends/holidays: takes patients
CNA ratio: 1:10–12
RT support: CPAP/BiPAP intermittently

⏰ Scheduling

12-hour shifts (5–5)
Every other weekend
Every other holiday
Floating to med/surg and step-down tele units
No call/standby

👕 Other Requirements

Scrubs: Caribbean blue
Orientation: 1 shift (12 hours)
