Job Opportunity: IV Therapy Vascular Access Team Nurse
Location: Goodyear, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Job Description
- Work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting, seeing 19+ patients daily alongside a team of 4 other Port RNs.
- Responsibilities include lab draws and utilization of Huber needles.
- Navy scrubs are required (not provided).
- Approximately 80 hours of orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 1 year of infusion experience within the last year.
- Experience in vascular access.
- Experience with rapid response protocols.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Background checks within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including Social Security trace, nationwide criminal checks, sex offender registry, and education verification.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
- Primary source verification of RN license prior to start and upon expiration.
- NURSYS verification prior to start.
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams including medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement annually.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within the last 12 months.
- Fit mask testing completed onsite if required.
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or positive titer; boosters required if titers are low.
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (history of chickenpox or declination not accepted).
- Negative TB test (PPD, TSPOT, or QGold) within 1 year or chest x-ray if past positive. TB questionnaire if history of positive test, updated annually.
- 10-panel drug screen within 1 year including marijuana.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
- COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption on facility form.
Facility Specifics
- 100% nicotine-free facility.
- Candidate must sign confidentiality agreement.
- Flu and COVID declination/exemption forms required if applicable.

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
