Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Supplemental Wellness Center Support
 

Location: Washington, DC
Client: U.S. Department of the Interior
Engagement Type: Long-Term Supplemental / As-Needed Contract Support
Schedule: Day shifts (as needed) – including event-based and coverage support

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide supplemental clinical support within a federal Wellness Center. This role assists in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting occupational health and wellness initiatives, and ensuring smooth clinical operations during staffing coverage needs and wellness events.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care support, including basic screenings and vital assessments
  • Assist in the implementation of workplace wellness programs and health education initiatives
  • Support Registered Nurses (RNs) with clinical documentation and care coordination activities
  • Maintain and manage medical supplies, equipment, and inventory control
  • Assist in responding to medical emergencies under RN supervision
  • Support clinic operations during wellness events, screenings, and special programs
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
  • Active and unrestricted LPN license in any U.S. state
  • Minimum of 2+ years of clinical nursing experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prior experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, or outpatient clinic settings preferred
