Job Summary
 

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg / Rehab Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. The RN will coordinate total patient care, support patient and family education, and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing standards. Candidates must be flexible to float within units and may be required to act as a backup Charge Nurse.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Med Surg and Rehab units
• Coordinate and manage overall nursing care plans
• Assist with patient and family education
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
• Monitor and assess patient conditions
• Serve as a backup Charge RN when required
• Float to other units within scope of practice as needed

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
• Average Daily Census: 22 patients
• EMR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg & Rehab experience
• Charge RN experience (required)
• At least 3 months of prior travel experience
• Active Vermont RN License or Compact License
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS (AHA) – Required
• Must be willing to float to any unit within scope

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
