Description
Responsibilities
Deliver prescribed radiation therapy accurately, ensuring proper patient positioning and correct dose administration
Perform clinical simulations using treatment machines and CT simulators as per physician orders
Fabricate custom immobilization devices, molds, and blocks for patient-specific treatments
Maintain accurate electronic medical records including treatment doses, scheduling, billing, and documentation
Educate patients on procedures, ensure comfort during treatment, and report complications to physicians or nurses
Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide quality patient care
Maintain radiation safety standards and follow departmental protocols
Perform other duties as required
Requirements
Experience
At least 1 year of radiation therapy experience (internship/clinical training acceptable)
Licenses & Certifications
SCRQSA Radiographer Certification (or proof of application)
ARRT Radiography (R) Certification
BLS (AHA)
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy program
