Job Title: Registered Nurse – CVICU
Location: Richmond, VA
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 Hours)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to patients in a cardiac surgery ICU setting
• Manage post-operative care for CABG, valve replacements, aortic surgeries, and transplants
• Perform invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titrate vasoactive medications
• Manage advanced cardiac support devices including ECMO, IABP, Impella, and LVADs
• Deliver CRRT and support patients with renal failure
• Monitor ventilated patients and provide telemetry and sedation management
• Care for high-acuity thoracic and vascular surgical patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience (5–6 years preferred)
• Must have recent CSICU/CVICU experience in a Level I trauma or academic facility
• Strong experience with post-op cardiothoracic surgery recovery
• Required experience with ECMO, CRRT, IABP, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Surgical Trauma ICU experience considered if strong in required skills
• EPIC experience required

Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
