Location: Concord NC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift 12hr Day Shift - 36 Shift Information 0700-1900
SimpliFi Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No Yes
On Call, Call Back Requirements None
Weekend Rotation Every other weekend
Holiday Requirements Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating Requirements Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises & Within Stanly - Med/Tele (1:4), ICU, PCU (if open), ED holds – may be a task RN or take ICU – Med/Tele holds; Behavioral Health unit (only to pass medications/charting of med pass)

- 457 licensed beds
- Level III Trauma Center
- Stroke Center of Excellence
- Bariatric Center of Excellence
- Chest Pain Center
- Radius Rule: Traveler must reside at least 50 miles from facility
- Note: Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
Department Overview
- Average Daily Census: 51 patients
- Minimum Experience: 18 months Med/Tele RN experience
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Patient Population
- Chronic diseases
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF specialty unit)
- COPD
- Diabetes (DM)
- Wound care patients
- Geriatric population
- Mental health & addiction services (including long-term IV antibiotic therapy ~6 weeks)
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Patient Ratios
- Typical: 1:4–6 (acuity dependent)
- Surge: Up to 1:7–8
Required Skills
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Management of non-titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone)
- IV insertion and maintenance
- Blood product administration
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Care of patients with tubes, drains, and complex medical needs

Scheduling & Shifts
- Shift Options:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Standard Schedule: 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule Cycle: 6 weeks
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- On-Call: Not required
Floating Requirements
- Required to float within region based on staffing needs (within scope of practice)
- Region Includes:
- Cabarrus
- University City
- Stanly
- Lake Norman
- Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH – pediatrics only)
- Possible float areas:
- Med/Tele (1:4 ratio)
- ICU, PCU (if applicable)
- ED holds
- Behavioral Health (medication administration/charting only)
- Mid-shift floating: Travel time is paid
Holiday & Time-Off Policy
- Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 75% of holidays
- RTO:
- Up to 6 days allowed (excluding holidays)
- May require extension of contract to meet total hours

- 2 days unit-specific orientation
