  • Minimum: $75,901

Position Summary:
 

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Physical Therapy to oversee the daily clinical and operational functions of the Physical Rehabilitation Department.

This leadership role is responsible for supervising therapy staff, managing department operations, ensuring quality patient care, maintaining compliance standards, assisting with budgeting, and providing direct patient care as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Leadership & Operations

  • Assist with daily department management and clinical operations
  • Supervise physical therapy staff and support personnel
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and workflow efficiency
  • Conduct performance evaluations and staff development
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control efforts
  • Develop and implement departmental goals and policies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness

Clinical Oversight

  • Provide direct patient care when needed
  • Review treatment plans and quality outcomes
  • Ensure individualized rehab care plans are followed
  • Support patient satisfaction and service excellence
  • Monitor documentation accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure equipment safety, maintenance, and readiness

Program Development

  • Assist in developing new rehab services and programs
  • Coordinate patient/family education initiatives
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance metrics
  • Support interdisciplinary collaboration across departments

Required Qualifications:
 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from CAPTE Accredited Physical Therapy Program
    (or equivalent foreign-trained education)

Licensure

  • Current PT License in any U.S. State / Territory
  • BLS Certification (AHA) required

Experience

  • 12+ Years PT Experience
    OR advanced education equivalent combination per client standards
  • 6+ Years Supervisory / Leadership Experience Required
  • 3+ Years Program Development Experience Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Prior acute care / hospital rehab leadership experience
  • Specialty background in:
    • Orthopedics
    • Neurology
    • Geriatrics
    • Pediatrics
    • Wound Care
  • Ability to speak Navajo, Hopi, or San Juan Southern Paiute highly valued
