Required Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: 1 year
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Required Skills & Clinical Experience
- Experience in PCU / Stepdown setting
- Neuro/Stroke patient care experience
- Ability to manage:
- Continuous telemetry monitoring
- Cardiac and respiratory patients
- Mixed medical cases
- Titration of cardiac drips
- Comfortable handling PCU-level assignments

- Patient Ratio: 1:4

- Charting: Epic
- Medication System: Pyxis
- Communication Tool: SBAR
- Scrubs: Navy Blue
Scheduling & Work Requirements
- Block Scheduling: Not available
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within facility and scope of practice
- Call Requirements: None
Time Off & Availability
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Maximum 7 days
- RTO Blackout Dates: April 4th – April 12th (Spring Break)
Holiday Requirements
If holidays fall during the assignment, expectations are as follows:
- 1 major holiday → required to work 1
- 2 major holidays → required to work both
- 3 major holidays → required to work 2
Recognized Major Holidays:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving / Black Friday (counts as one)
- Christmas Eve / Christmas Day (counts as one)
- New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day (counts as one)
