Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Nights (Temporary)
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary night-shift position in our Labor & Delivery (LDRP) unit. This role involves providing comprehensive care across the full continuum of obstetric services, including OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn nursery care. The ideal candidate will be experienced in maternal-newborn nursing and comfortable working in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients throughout all stages of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
  • Perform OB triage assessments and manage outpatient testing procedures
  • Monitor fetal well-being using OBIX fetal surveillance system
  • Provide care for newborns in the nursery setting
  • Educate patients, families, and support persons on health conditions, treatment plans, and postpartum/newborn care
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical information using EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care
  • Adhere to all nursing standards and scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff

Note: This position does not include circulating or scrubbing in the operating room.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or LDRP setting preferred
  • Experience with OBIX fetal monitoring and EPIC EHR systems strongly preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (NRP, ACLS, or fetal monitoring) preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
