Description
Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology.
General Information:
• Beds: Outpatient clinic
• Minimum experience required? 3-5 years of experience specific to Radiation Oncology - 5 years is most preferred
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
• Travelers must live 100 miles away from any *******
• Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
Department will see, on average, 65 patients per day
• Will treat all types of cancers, to include but not limited to: Lung, Breast, Brain, Head/Neck, GYN, metastatic disease, Lymphomas
• Patient Ratios:
• 2:1; 2 therapists per treatment machine
• CT SIM - 2:1; 2 therapists per CT simulation
• Required Certifications:
• BLS
• ARRT Licensure
• SD State Licensure is NOT required
• Required Education:
• Graduate from a Radiation Therapy program that will allow them to sit for Radiation Therapist (T) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Skills/Equipment experience required:
• Skills:
• Required Therapies/Skills: Stereotactic body radiation therapy ( SBRT), Tomotherapy - Accuray Tomotherapy experience is required, EBRT, SRS, VMAT
• RADIXACT (preferred exp)
• Preferred: CT Simulation; Volumetric modulated arc therapy ( VMAT)
• Equipment:
• Required: Accuray Tomotherapy HI.ART, experience using the Varian True Beam treatment machine in conjunction with Mosiaq
• Preferred: Siemens CT Simulator GO.PRO scanner; Accuray RADIXACT experience
