Travel General Ultrasound Tech – Weekend Nights | Alabama
Searching for a weekend-only assignment with a compact schedule and strong work-life flexibility? We have a 13-week General Ultrasound Tech opening in Alabama for an experienced sonographer looking for three consistent night shifts and four full days off each week.
This is an ideal assignment for travelers who prefer independent overnight workflow, broad scanning variety, and a predictable Friday through Sunday block schedule.

Responsibilities
The Ultrasound Tech will provide diagnostic imaging support across a full range of general ultrasound studies during weekend overnight coverage.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts ultrasounds
- Capturing high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Reviewing patient history and exam indications prior to procedures
- Maintaining timely and accurate EMR documentation
- Collaborating with overnight radiology and patient care teams
- Managing workflow independently during lower staffed hours
This assignment is best suited for a tech who is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a variety of ultrasound exams without heavy daytime department support.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent General Ultrasound Tech experience
- ARDMS required
- BLS required
- Must have strong competency in all general ultrasound areas
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Must reside 50+ miles from facility
- No local candidates accepted
