MANAGER PHONE INTERVIEW
 

Minimum Experience: 2+ years in specialty area. Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital is REQUIRED.

Required Certifications: IA RN,  AHA BLS, AHA ACLS & AHA PALS
*AHA PALS is required b/c occasionally the M/S floor will have a pediatric patient*

Charting Experience Required: EPIC experience (preferred)

Required Skillset: Ability to work independently in MedSurg. Must have Critical Access experience. Ability to work in charge nurse capacity as back-up.   Previous charge experience is STRONGLY PREFERRED.  Must have taken care of someone younger than the age of 18.

Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): 25 – bed Critical Access Hospital. Med/Surg – 20 beds, OB – 4 LDRP, 1 – post-partum/c-section prep.

Average Daily Census: Med/Surg 8 - 10 , majority are skilled care level, acute and observation patients, same day surgicals.  OB – average 85 – 90 deliveries per year.

Nurse to Patient Ratio: Med/Surg – up to 1:5, typical is 1:3-4

Float Requirements: Critical Access Hospital. Float to like units as needed.

Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend &  holiday rotation
