Description
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Neuro Focus | 10 Bed High Acuity Unit
A 10 bed high acuity Progressive Care Unit is seeking an experienced RN with a strong neuro background. This unit cares for complex patients including stroke, TBI, spinal cord injuries, post operative brain and spine cases, and hydrocephalus requiring lumbar drains.
Required Experience:
- Arterial lines
- Ventriculostomies
- Subdural and lumbar drains
- Hemodynamic monitoring
Preferred Skills:
- BiPAP and CPAP
- Trach patients including ventilator support
- Low dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and inotropes
- Post surgical lines, tubes, and drains
Assignment Details:
- 13 week contract
- 36 to 48 hours per week available
This is an ideal opportunity for nurses comfortable in a high acuity, neuro focused PCU environment with advanced monitoring and critical care level responsibilities.
