Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Florence, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Work in the Emergency Department of a Level III Trauma facility
36 guaranteed hours per week
Shift: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
Possibility to float to Overflow unit
Patient population includes all ages (pediatrics through geriatric)
Patient ratios typically 1:3 or 1:4
Electronic Health Record system: MediTech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Additional Information

Unit has 37 beds including 4 trauma bays and 7 fast track rooms
Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
Supervision by Nurse Manager / Director
