Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity assignment in Bakersfield, CA. The RN will independently manage critically ill patients, utilizing advanced clinical judgment and the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care in accordance with California nursing standards.
 

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive critical care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and manage acutely ill patients with rapidly changing conditions
• Interpret clinical data and respond to physiological and psychosocial changes
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage life-support equipment
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate protocols
• Perform accurate and timely documentation per hospital standards
• Ensure compliance with infection control, medication safety, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement, staff meetings, and ongoing education

• Knowledge of advanced nursing practices, equipment, and pharmacology
 

Requirements:
• Active California RN License (Unrestricted)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU or critical care experience
• NIHSS Certification required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) required
• Strong knowledge of critical care medications, drips, and interventions
