Job Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Duration: 8 Weeks
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) – 40 hours/week

Note: No local candidates within a 50-mile radius.

Facility: Psych-Oncology Services

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Psych-Oncology or related specialty
• Required: AHA BLS certification
• Required: Georgia LCSW license
• Required: Hospital-based experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients in the psych-oncology setting, evaluating their emotional, mental, and social needs.
• Counseling & Support: Provide individual, family, and group counseling to patients and their families facing cancer-related challenges, offering emotional and psychological support throughout treatment.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement comprehensive care plans for patients, ensuring all psychosocial needs are addressed.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises as needed, providing immediate emotional support and interventions for patients experiencing acute stress, anxiety, or depression related to their diagnosis.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families about coping mechanisms, mental health resources, and available community support services.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulations, documenting all interventions, treatments, and patient progress.
