Location: Homeland, CA (92548)
Shift: Day Shift (Mon, Wed, Fri) | 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Hours: 18 hours/week (Part-Time)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide medical care in a detoxification and recovery setting. This role involves conducting patient assessments, managing withdrawal symptoms, and developing individualized care plans. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, experience in substance use treatment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments upon client admission
- Review medical and substance use history and develop care plans
- Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms using protocols (CIWA, COWS)
- Prescribe or oversee administration of medications for detox and treatment
- Evaluate patients daily and update treatment plans accordingly
- Respond to medical emergencies and document incidents appropriately
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with clinical and behavioral health teams to support recovery care
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license – California
- Active DEA registration
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of pharmacologic treatments for substance withdrawal
- Ability to handle medical and psychiatric emergencies
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate and ethical approach to patient care
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
