Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location: Lexington, KY
Duration: 06/22/2026 – 14 Weeks
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 5x8s
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays and case carts
- Ensure proper handling and reprocessing of endoscopes and specialty equipment
- Monitor sterilization processes using biological and chemical indicators
- Maintain accurate documentation and instrument tracking
- Follow infection control and aseptic techniques
- Support OR teams with timely and accurate instrument availability
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of sterile processing experience (acute setting)
- CRCST/HSPA certification (mandatory)
- Experience in Level 2 trauma center
- Strong experience in instrument processing across multiple service lines
- Proficient in fiber optics handling
- Experience with Ortho (Totals) and Neuro (Crani)
