Description

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Location: Lexington, KY
Duration: 06/22/2026 – 14 Weeks
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 5x8s

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments
  • Assemble and prepare instrument trays and case carts
  • Ensure proper handling and reprocessing of endoscopes and specialty equipment
  • Monitor sterilization processes using biological and chemical indicators
  • Maintain accurate documentation and instrument tracking
  • Follow infection control and aseptic techniques
  • Support OR teams with timely and accurate instrument availability

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of sterile processing experience (acute setting)
  • CRCST/HSPA certification (mandatory)
  • Experience in Level 2 trauma center
  • Strong experience in instrument processing across multiple service lines
  • Proficient in fiber optics handling
  • Experience with Ortho (Totals) and Neuro (Crani)
