- Satellites: Davie IP/OP Care Hospital, Country Club clinic
Department Details
- Daily volume: TTE (comprehensive) 110/day; Stress/Stress Echo/DobSE/NucCard/Tilt 14/day; TEE 5-6/day
- Minimum 2 years experience (Echo Tech, RN with Cardiac exp, or EP)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Patient types: Heart failure/cardiac diagnostics (TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo); chemotherapy/renal transplant evaluations
Required Licensure & Certifications
- BLS
- RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) or RCS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer through CCI)
Key Skills
- 2D, Doppler, color flow, 3D, strain, contrast studies
- Preferred: Stress echo, interventional procedures, IV management training
Department Support
- Dedicated Cardiac Ultrasound Educator, Chief Sonographer
- Staffing: 19 Echo techs (incl. satellites), 5 RNs, 2 EPs
Technology & Equipment
- EMR: Epic (Encompass)
- Echo: Philips, Client
- Stress lab: Client CASE
- Reporting: Philips ISCV (ECHO)
Floating Requirements
- Yes, to satellite sites within Wake Region
Orientation
- NEO + 2 days departmental
Scheduling & Requirements
- Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40 hrs (8am start; manager may approve 4-10s - request on submission)
- No call
- Weekends: Rotational (Echo tech/RN/EP based on needs)
- Holidays: Per unit needs
- Schedule: 13-week contract; weekly staffing posted mid-week (2 weeks/1 week ahead)
- RTO: Manager approval

- Scrubs: Tops - Barney Purple (not eggplant); Pants/Skirts - Black; Warm-up jackets - Purple or Black
