Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice
Location: Augusta, GA 30907
Contract Length: 12 Weeks

Schedule: Night Shift | 5x8s (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week travel assignment in Augusta, GA. This role is ideal for a compassionate and independent clinician with strong hospice or home health experience, excellent communication skills, and confidence managing symptom control and end-of-life care in a home hospice setting. The ideal candidate will be organized, clinically strong, and comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in home and hospice settings
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing symptom management
  • Administer medications and manage pain control interventions
  • Develop and update individualized care plans for hospice patients
  • Coordinate care with physicians, hospice staff, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, office staff, and Medical Director
  • Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status appropriately
  • Support end-of-life care planning and patient/family education
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in call rotation and provide backup weekend support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active State Registered Nurse (RN) license (GA)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Prior Hospice or Home Health RN experience required
  • Travel experience required
  • Strong independent clinical judgment and organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously in the field

  • 7 on / 7 off rotation
  • Every third weekend required
  • Patient ratio: 1:10
